This is a great video, very detailed. I think this is the farming of the future, however, the styrofoam worries me. I think it my leech styrene into the water and plants, especially at greenhouse temperatures. The problem of Hydroponics is that the environmental conditions in which it is produced favor the develop of Salmonella bacteria.
Other than that, imagine this with full automation and in tall building, for less area occupation. The future of agriculture!
many of the things you see working doing, could be done by robots completely automated, based on science and math, found in the plants and water using technology to read it the right way. It would leave less room for human error and become much more efficient.

Although how much energy a hydroponics system uses is really a function of how smoothly the larger environmental system in which it functions works and how well-designed the hydroponics system is with respect the the environment it’s cultivated in.
I like the vacuum tech at the beginning of the video, that’s clever. Lol those workers probably have the healthiest jobs on the planet. Imagine working in an environment that’s designed for the utmost efficient growth of life.

I’m positive it uses no pesticides. I’m fairly sure it uses less energy as well.
